FocusLock ("the app") helps you stay focused by locking apps you choose, either for a timer you start or on a schedule you set. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
The following is stored only on your phone and is never sent to us or to any server we control:
We do not run a FocusLock account system or a server that receives this data. Uninstalling the app removes it.
FocusLock uses Android's Accessibility Service for one purpose: to detect which app is currently in the foreground so it can show the lock screen when you open an app you chose to lock. The service does not read, record or store the content of your screen, what you type, passwords, messages or any other personal content. Information from the service is not shared with anyone. You can turn the service off at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility, but locking will then stop working.
FocusLock shows banner ads on its Home screen when no focus session is active. Ads are never shown on the lock screen or during setup. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and use data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your locked-app list, schedules and session data are never shared with advertisers.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region that requires it, the app shows a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before ads that use personal data are requested. You can change your choice later where the app offers a privacy-options setting. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Privacy > Ads.
We do not sell your personal information. The only third party that receives data through the app is Google, for advertising as described above.
FocusLock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your data stays on your device and is protected by Android's app sandbox. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we do not transmit your focus data off your device.
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
